Opening Dates Chardham Yatra 2019
If you are a devout Hindu, the Chardham yatra is importance and every Hindu want to visit at least once in his life time. These 4 pilgrimage places are opened for pilgrims only for six months in the year, which start from the month of April and May. The dates are declared by the Kedar-Badri Mandir Samiti, Char Dham temple committee before the Indian holy day of Akshaya Tritiya. A highly blessed day for the Hindu religion Akshaya Tritiya also named as Akha Teej is shows good luck.

The Gangotri Temple and Yamunotri Temple open on the holy day of Akshaya Tritiya every year followed by the portal opening of Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple after a couple of days. Kedarnath Dham and Yamunotri Dham close on Bhai Dooj while the door of Badrinath temple closes on the day of Vijay Dashami And Gangotri Dham closes on the day of Deepawali(Diwali). It is suggested that the Chardham Yatra should be processed from east to west (clockwise) direction. Hence, the yatra is ideally started from Yamunotri Dham towards Gangotri, then Kedarnath and finally yatra end at Badrinath.
